Job summary

Johnson & Johnson—_DePuy Synthes_ Orthopaedics is seeking a Sales Associate for the Portland metro area to provide clinical and customer support in hospitals and procedures. The role requires strong product knowledge of surgical instruments, ability to travel, and a focus on maintaining surgeon relationships.

The position emphasizes in-room guidance for surgeons, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and ongoing coverage of cases to achieve sales goals within a regional territory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required; additional professional experience preferred.
• Associate Degree or Medical Certification (CST, PT, etc.) plus 2+ years in related work.
• Minimum of 4 years of related experience or recently transitioned from Active Military Duty.
• Must be able to work in a lab/operating room environment and hold a valid US driver's license.
• Ability to travel which may include weekend and/or overnight travel.
• Residence in or willing to relocate to the posted territory.

Responsibilities

• Assist DePuy Synthes sales organization in retaining and supporting further penetration with existing customers, while supporting product conversions with new customers.
• Guide and assist surgeons in the operating room through their clinical and product knowledge.
• Provide OR equipment support and ensure proper trays are available and optimized for procedures.
• Troubleshoot and provide technical assistance; handle hospital billing and create/close purchase orders.
• Share insights with sales, clinical, marketing and strategic account teams to improve solutions and service levels.
• Maintain and deploy equipment and assets across the territory; ensure materials are presented professionally.
• Focus on customer satisfaction and differentiate DPS products against competition.
