Job summary

Regional One Health in Memphis, TN is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing care in the inpatient setting, following the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.

The role requires TN RN licensure, BCLS on hire, and experience with inpatient care across age groups, with strong assessment, documentation, and collaboration with the care team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved nursing program is required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred.
• RN – State licensure to work in TN is required upon hire.
• BCLS – Basic Life Support is required upon hire.
• Experience in caring for inpatients and with school age, adolescent, adult and/or geriatric populations is required.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care according to medical regimen and established standards.
• Initiates assessment based on patient problems and physician diagnoses.
• Collects key information from patient, family, labs and reports.
• Ensures consents for treatment are signed and ID procedures are carried out.
• Determines nursing diagnoses and priorities with patient education and discharge planning in mind.
• Documents assessment and nursing judgments in patient records.
• Demonstrates knowledge and critical thinking to meet patient needs within the unit.
• Completes ongoing assessments and updates nursing diagnoses as needed.
• Assesses, plans, and implements care for assigned patients, including therapeutic interventions.
• Coordinates patient referrals and provides patient education.
• Maintains patient records and uses systems to enter and retrieve data.
• Collaborates with patient/family and hospital staff to ensure quality care.
