Job summary

Regional One Health in Memphis is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing care to patients using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care. This role requires careful assessment, documentation, coordination with physicians and staff, administration of medications, patient teaching, and active participation in safety and quality improvement initiatives.

You will work within assigned units, ensure compliance with standards and policies, and support family

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care according to medical regimen and nursing interventions appropriate for the patients' conditions and according to established standards, policies and procedures.
• Initiates assessment based on the patient's presenting problems or needs, the physician's medical diagnosis and the functional health framework upon visit.
• Documents assessment, including nursing diagnoses or other clinical judgments.
• Coordinates patient referrals and patient education; ensures consent and identification procedures are carried out.
• Responds to medical emergencies and assists CPR/BLS as required.
• Maintains patient records; documents patient status and care given; uses patient computer systems to enter and retrieve data.
