Job summary

Community Partners in Action (CPA) is seeking a Per Diem Youth Mentor for the REGIONS Staff Secure Residential Treatment Program in Hartford, CT. The role involves supervising and supporting male youth, promoting trauma-informed care, and maintaining safety during evenings, weekends, and holidays.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, experience with at-risk youth, and a willingness to obtain SCM certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; experience with at-risk or court-involved adolescents preferred.
• Understanding of trauma-informed and culturally responsive approaches.
• Willingness to obtain Safe Crisis Management (SCM) certification and basic med/DBT coaching training.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision and care to youth in residential setting.
• Maintain a safe, trauma-informed, gender-responsive environment.
• Transport youth to appointments and activities with reliable transportation.
• Document youth progress and maintain accurate logs; participate in team planning.
• Facilitate group activities and therapeutic programming under supervision.
