Job summary

Community Partners in Action (CPA) seeks a Youth Mentor for the REGIONS Site Secure Residential Treatment Program in Hamden, CT. Per diem, weekend/holiday shifts, minimum 24 hours monthly.

Earns $20/hour and works in a secure residential setting with male youth, providing supervision, support, and crisis management. Ideal candidates have an associate degree or higher and experience with at-risk or court-involved youth; bilingual Spanish/English preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher with experience with at-risk or court-involved youth.
• Bachelor’s in criminal justice with internship may replace work experience.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed, gender-specific, culturally responsive approaches.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision and care for youth.
• Maintain safe, supportive, trauma-informed environment.
• Mediate and resolve youth problems with de-escalation techniques.
• Transport clients and assist with appointments.
• Complete logs and forms; support discharge planning.
