Job summary

VisionQuest in the United States is seeking a Youth Care Worker to provide direct supervision for children in residential settings, fostering a safe, learning-focused environment in line with policy and state guidelines.

You will engage with youth during activities, meals, and daily living tasks, support education and recreation, and assist with appointments and transportation as needed. A $1,500 sign-on bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least 1 year in child welfare or related social service setting.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred and helpful for communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision of children in care and maintain line of sight at all times.
• Oversee recreation, meals, and transitions; model trauma-informed care.
• Assist with planning special events and educational activities.
• Administer medications as needed and maintain proper documentation.
• Support safety, cleanliness, and reporting of maintenance or supply needs.
• Participate in mandatory trainings and follow safety protocols.
