Job summary

VisionQuest seeks a Youth Care Worker to provide direct supervision for children in a residential setting, using trauma-informed approaches to foster safety and learning. The role includes supporting daily living activities, documenting progress, and coordinating with caregivers to ensure well-being.

Applicants should have a high school diploma and at least 1 year in child welfare. A valid driver’s license and CPI/CPR training are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year experience in child welfare or related social services preferred.
• CPR/First Aid and CPI certification encouraged or required where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children in care and maintain safety at all times.
• Guide activities and daily living tasks, including meals and routines.
• Document progress, behaviors, and health information for each child.
• Assist with special events, transportation, and coordination with families.
• Participate in training and comply with safety protocols.
