Job summary

VisionQuest (VQ) is seeking a Youth Care Worker to supervise children in a residential setting in Tucson, AZ. You will foster a safe, learning‑oriented environment using trauma‑informed practices and collaborate with a compassionate team.

Responsibilities include daily living supervision, activity coordination, medication administration, and meticulous documentation to support youth progress and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year employment experience in the child welfare field.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
• Cleared tuberculosis test results and able to pass a drug test.
• Must provide proof of required vaccinations and clear background checks.
• CPR/First Aid and CPI certification required.
• Valid driver’s license and eligibility to drive for program services.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision of children in care and maintain line of sight at all times.
• Oversee recreation, meals, and leisure activities while ensuring safety.
• Build positive rapport with youth using a trauma-informed approach.
• Teach daily living activities and assist with education and routines.
• Administer medications and maintain required documentation.
• Report progress, behavior, and health; observe and document patterns.
