Job summary

Children Having Opportunities in a Caring Environment Inc in Florida is hiring a Direct Care / Youth Care Worker to supervise and support male youth in a licensed group home. The role provides therapeutic services, safety, and daily living guidance, with emphasis on trauma-informed care and re-parenting within the care plan.

You will accompany youth to school, plan activities, monitor behavior, assist with meals, and document care.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED plus minimum 12 months experience with children 8–17, 21+ years old.
• Bachelor’s or associate degree in human services is preferred.
• 1+ year experience with at-risk youth; trauma/mental health understanding is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision and engage in positive interactions with youth; teach life skills.
• Administer and document medication per agency procedures and communicate reactions.
• Plan and supervise on-site and community activities; accompany youth to school and transport as needed.
