Job summary

Voices of Hope Lexington Inc in Lexington, KY, seeks a Training Coordinator to design, develop, and deliver training for staff, volunteers, and community partners. The role emphasizes evidence-based, trauma-informed, and culturally competent learning aligned with organizational goals.

The position involves curriculum design, interactive training delivery, collaboration with universities and community partners, and tracking training outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in education, public health, social work, psychology, human resources, or related field and/or minimum of two years of experience in developing and delivering training to adult learners.
  • Lived experience with substance use recovery is highly preferred.
  • Experience in recovery services, harm reduction, or behavioral health settings.
  • Certified Peer Support Specialist or trainer certification a plus.
  • Experience with e-learning platforms and digital training tools.
  • Strong facilitation and public speaking skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other instructional design tools (Teams, Canva, LMS platforms).
  • Must be 18 or older.
  • Be able to complete I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification.
  • Be able to complete a background check (prior convictions may not necessarily disqualify an applicant).

Responsibilities

  • Design and update curriculum and training materials for in-person and virtual delivery, including slide decks, supplemental materials, and interactive learning exercises.
  • Develop learning objectives, training outlines, participant guides, and evaluation tools.
  • Ensure content is accessible, inclusive, and aligned with best practices in adult learning.
