Job summary

County of Chester is seeking a Training Coordinator within the Employee Relations function of the Operations Unit. The role develops, organizes, implements, and evaluates training for department staff and provider agency staff working with children and families affected by abuse and neglect.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work or in the social sciences with 1 year of paid social services experience.
• Master’s degree in social work is preferred.
• Willingness to travel.
• PA Child Welfare Caseworker Certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, coordinate, and facilitate training programs for child welfare professionals, social workers and other department staff.
• Provide coaching and support to department staff related to case management processes.
• Ensure training content reflects laws, policies, and evidence-based approaches; monitor compliance with training requirements.
• Organize training, webinars, and staff development opportunities.
• Analyze training effectiveness and recommend program improvements.
