Job summary

Frontier Behavioral Health in Spokane seeks a dedicated SUD Counselor to support individuals in Trueblood Housing programs, delivering evidence-based services in community settings.

You will coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams, provide assessments, referrals, and crisis support, and help clients obtain Medicaid and SOAR benefits.

This role requires travel across Spokane, a valid WA driver’s license, and DOH SUD certification; competitive benefits and sign-on incentives offered.

Qualifications

• DOH certification as a Substance Use Disorder Professional.
• Associate Degree in Addiction Studies or Substance Use Counseling or related field.
• Must apply for Counselor Agency Affiliated – Registered credential within 30 days of hire.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to use a personal vehicle for work.

Responsibilities

• Locate and engage participants in community settings.
• Provide individual and group SUD counseling sessions.
• Coordinate closely with Trueblood teams and serve as subject matter expert on evidence-based practices.
• Assist with crisis, hospital diversion and recovery planning.
• Complete risk assessments for suicide and homicide and coordinate care.
• Maintain confidential client records and coordinate referrals to outpatient or inpatient treatment.
