Comprehensive Life Resources is seeking a qualified Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP) to join our Outreach team in Tacoma, WA. The role centers on comprehensive assessments, treatment planning, counseling, and case management to support individuals in recovery.

The position requires driving to client locations and substantial fieldwork, with an emphasis on ethical practice, teamwork, and collaboration with community agencies.

Comprehensive Life Resources is looking for a qualified Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP) to join our Outreach team in Tacoma, WA.

Additional compensation may include shift differentials, stipends and/or longevity pay.

Scope:

The SUDP role involves providing substance use disorder assessments, treatment planning, counseling, and case management services to individuals seeking recovery. The SUDP is responsible for developing and implementing treatment plans, providing individual and group therapy, and coordinating care with other professionals and agencies.

This is an outreach position with the expectation of working in the community a minimum of 50% of the time. Outreach workers must be able to meet clients where they are, which may include working in varying hazard/unsanitary conditions and being able to navigate a variety of terrain in all types of weather.

The SUDP may also have the opportunity to supervise Substance Use Disorder Trainees (SUDTs), offering guidance and support in their professional development. The role is focused on delivering comprehensive care to individuals with substance use disorders, ensuring ethical and regulatory standards are met.

Responsibilities

• Provide chemical dependency assessments and services for clients seeking substance use treatment..
• Complete paperwork in a timely manner and maintain up-to-date records in compliance with WAC, Title XIX, and agency requirements.
• Attend treatment team meetings, staff meetings, and designated staff training and client consultations.
• Participate in SUDP consult/supervision groups to complete required supervision hours.
• Ensure ethical and professional standards of practice are maintained.
• Provide clinical case coordination within a multidisciplinary team for consumers.
• Deliver case management services as outlined in consumer treatment plans.
• Facilitate group therapy sessions based on program needs.
• Coordinate services with other program staff, consultants, relevant agencies, and individuals (e.g., DOC, hospitals, congregate care facilities).
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Must have their SUDP Washington State credential and the ability to acquire an Agency Affiliated Counselor Registration (AACR).
• Valid Washington State Driver’s License.
• Strong computer skills.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
