Job summary

KEYS Academy, supported by Health Connect America, seeks a licensed Special Education teacher to lead structured, trauma-informed classrooms aligned to Virginia SOLs. You will implement evidence-based practices, tailor instruction to students with emotional, behavioral, and developmental needs, and collaborate with families and staff to support student growth within a small classroom setting.

You will design instruction around each student’s IEP goals, integrate the KEYS for a Big Life

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Active Virginia teaching license in Special Education required.
• Endorsement in Emotional Disabilities or SPED general curriculum needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop lesson plans aligned to SOLs and IEP goals.
• Differentiate instruction for diverse needs.
• Implement strategies: differentiated instruction, scaffolding, social-emotional supports.
• Embed social-emotional learning into daily lessons.
• Integrate KEYS for a Big Life curriculum and Social Thinking framework.
• Collaborate with staff and families to support student success.
