Job summary

KEYS Academy, supported by Health Connect America, seeks a licensed Special Education teacher to deliver trauma-informed, structured instruction in a small classroom setting. You will design individualized instruction aligned to each student’s IEP goals, integrate KEYS for a Big Life Curriculum, and collaborate with the School Director and team for safety, dignity, and opportunity.

You will manage lesson plans, differentiate for diverse needs, use evidence-based strategies, and monitor progress

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required and Virginia teaching license in Special Education.
• Endorsement in Emotional Disabilities or SPED required; license eligible candidates accepted.
• Experience with IEPs, data-driven instruction, and SOL-aligned planning preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver lesson plans aligned to SOLs, school curriculum, and individual IEP goals.
• Differentiate instruction to meet varied student needs.
• Embed social-emotional learning and structured routines into daily lessons.
• Collaborate with staff, families, and administrators to support student success.
• Maintain accurate student progress documentation and reports.
