Job summary

Ascend Nonprofit Solutions is seeking a Shelter Victim Advocate to provide trauma-informed intake, assessment, and case management for shelter residents. You will coordinate care with community partners, deliver crisis intervention, safety planning, and referrals, while maintaining a confidential advocacy caseload.

The role emphasizes client-centered services, documentation, and participation in program reporting, with opportunities for public speaking and outreach to promote victim services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree or Equivalent Experience.
• Experience working with victims or experience in human services.
• Spanish-speaking preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide intake, assessment, case management, crisis intervention, safety planning, court education, information and referrals.
• Coordinate client care with community partners.
• Maintain an advocacy caseload and deliver direct client care.
• Refer clients to housing, education and employment opportunities.
• Develop goals with clients and identify needs.
• Document case information accurately and timely.
• Develop and deliver psycho-educational and life skills groups.
• Resolve residential conflicts and maintain safe environment using trauma-informed practices.
• Maintain confidential records and manage program data in agency databases.
• Assist with grant writing, reporting, and compliance processes.
• Engage in public speaking and community outreach to raise awareness.
