Job summary

Smartstartofmeck Shelter Victim Advocate is a full-time, on-site role focusing on providing trauma-informed support to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and related abuse. You will conduct intake, crisis intervention, safety planning, and referrals while managing an advocacy caseload for program clients.

Responsibilities include documentation, collaboration with community resources, development of educational groups, and active participation in grant reporting and staff development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree or Equivalent Experience.
• Experience with victims or experience in human services preferred.
• Spanish-speaking preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide intake, assessment, case management, crisis intervention, safety planning, court education, information, and referrals.
• Maintain an advocacy caseload and provide direct client care.
• Refer clients to housing, education and employment resources.
• Document case information and complete forms accurately and timely.
• Develop psycho-educational and life skills groups for residents.
• Collaborate with community partners to coordinate client care.
• Uphold trauma-informed practices and support client safety in residential settings.
• Contribute to grant reporting and quality assurance processes.
