Job summary

Women’s Center Of East Texas Inc. seeks compassionate advocates for Shelter clients. The role focuses on trauma-informed, client-centered care, housing and transportation support, and connection to community resources to promote safety and self-sufficiency.

Responsibilities include screenings, goal planning, and collaboration with staff to meet client needs. The position requires flexibility for shifts, including nights and weekends; training and documentation are integral parts of daily work.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in related field or combination of social services experience and education.
• Basic knowledge of Family Violence preferred
• Knowledge and experience of working in residential/shelter environment preferred
• Ability to work various shifts, including nights, holidays, and weekends

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic client-centered and trauma informed care for survivors of sexual assault.
• Assist clients with daily needs and housing/ residential support.
• Coordinate transportation and referrals to community resources.
• Maintain clear documentation and data entry within 24 hours.
• Respond to 24-hour hotline with crisis intervention and safety planning.
• Attend staff meetings and adhere to agency processes and KPI tracking.
