Job summary

The Women's Center of East Texas Inc in LONGVIEW, TX seeks compassionate Caseworkers for our Shelter to provide trauma-informed, client-centered care to survivors and their children. You will coordinate services with agency staff, support clients' personal goals, and help maintain a safe shelter environment.

Applicants should have a High School Diploma and ideally a Bachelor's in a related field or relevant social services experience; knowledge of Family Violence and shelter operations is

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field or combination of social services experience and education.
  • Basic knowledge of Family Violence preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience of working in residential/shelter environment preferred.
  • Ability to work various shifts, including nights, holidays, and weekends.
  • Active Listening

  • Knowledge of basic computer skills
  • Self-motivated, self-confident, and compassionate
  • High moral and ethical standards.
  • Ability to complete required training assignments and understand the dynamics of Family Violence and other related issues.

Salary Range: $16.00 - $20.00 Hourly

For over 40 years the Women's Center of East Texas has served survivors of domestic abuse, their witnessing children, and victims of sexual assault. We are looking for compassionate, service-oriented Caseworkers at our Shelter who have a desire to assist these clients. Would you like to join us?
