Job summary

The Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community Healing Center is seeking a Residential Aide to support adult residents in a therapeutic setting at Prior Lake, MN. This on-call, full-time role emphasizes safety, daily routines, and collaboration with clinical and cultural teams.

You will help with admissions, transports, medication administration, and documentation, while contributing to a trauma-informed, culturally respectful environment. Shifts may include evenings and overnights.

Qualifications

• Experience in residential or behavioral health settings preferred.
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries and respond calmly to crises.
• Respect for Dakota culture, language, and healing practices.
• Must pass criminal background check and drug screening.
• Valid driver’s license and insurability under motorpool policy.
• Evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays availability.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and support residents to ensure safety and well-being.
• Provide supervision during daily routines, meals, groups, and offsite programming as needed.
• Assist with room checks, wellness checks, and documenting client behaviors or incidents.
• Orient new admissions and assist with belongings and room setup.
• Transport clients to appointments or cultural programming as assigned.
• Administer drug/alcohol screenings and medications per protocol.
