Job summary

Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community (SMSC) Healing Center seeks a Residential Aide for full-time night shifts (9pm-7:30am) to support adult residents in a culturally respectful healing environment.

You will assist with daily routines, supervision, admissions, transport, and documentation, while collaborating with clinical and cultural staff to promote wellbeing and safety. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in residential, behavioral health, or related human services setting preferred.
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries and respond calmly to crises.
• Respect for Dakota culture, language, and healing practices.
• Must pass background checks and HIPAA/42 CFR Part 2 confidentiality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and support residents to ensure safety and well-being.
• Supervise daily routines, groups, mealtimes, and transportation as needed.
• Document observations and incidents; report to clinical staff.
• Assist with admissions, orientations, and belongings.
