Job summary

Shakopee-Mdewakanton-Sioux-Community is seeking an RN to deliver compassionate, trauma-informed care to adult clients in a residential treatment setting serving Native American communities in Minnesota.

The RN will administer medications, monitor withdrawal management, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, with transportation of clients to offsite appointments using facility vehicles. A strong emphasis on Dakota cultural values and healing practices is central to the role.

Qualifications

• Current Minnesota RN license.
• BLS; ACLS preferred.
• 1 year nursing experience in behavioral health or residential care.
• Experience with withdrawal management or substance use treatment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care including medication administration and monitoring.
• Assess and document medical needs; collaborate with providers.
• Monitor withdrawal symptoms and administer MAT when appropriate.
• Maintain nursing documentation in the EHR (NextGen).
• Assist with admissions, health screenings, and nursing assessments.
