Job summary

The Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community Healing Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide trauma-informed nursing care for adults in residential treatment. The RN administers medications, monitors symptoms, supports withdrawal management and MAT, performs admissions and health assessments, and collaborates with an interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Current MN RN license and BLS; ACLS preferred.
• One year of nursing in behavioral health or residential care.
• Familiarity with or willingness to learn Dakota healing practices.
• Proficient with electronic documentation; NextGen a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care, med administration, and vital signs.
• Assess and respond to medical needs; document in electronic health record.
• Monitor withdrawal symptoms; support MAT when appropriate.
• Lead nursing education groups and assist with crisis response.
• Transport clients to offsite appointments using motorpool.
• Ensure safe medication practices and collaborate with team.
• Participate in team meetings and quality improvement.
