Job summary

Wayne Metropolitan Community Action Agency seeks a PSH Case Management Specialist to support formerly homeless individuals across Wayne County. You will manage a caseload, provide trauma‑informed, person‑centered services, and help clients obtain stable housing.

Responsibilities include face‑to‑face engagements, housing navigation, developing service plans, and coordinating with landlords and community partners. A Bachelor’s degree and robust interpersonal skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Public Administration, Social Work, or Business Administration or equivalent.
• Minimum of four years of experience in related roles.
• Knowledge of demographics in Detroit and Wayne County; ability to serve low‑income populations.
• Ability to design/outreach and refer services; coordinate with providers.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic internet applications; strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide supportive services and develop trusting relationships with PSH residents.
• Conduct face-to-face engagements at homes and in the community.
• Meet weekly contact requirements with residents and develop individualized service plans.
• Assist residents with housing navigation and documentation; view housing units.
• Coordinate with landlords and service providers to ensure housing stability.
• Maintain records, reports, and confidentiality; participate in program evaluation.
