Job summary

Wayne Metro seeks a Coordinated Entry Specialist to engage households facing homelessness, assess needs, and coordinate rapid referrals to housing resources. You will complete intake, document case details, and support clients in identifying immediate housing options using a trauma-informed approach.

The role requires strong written and verbal communication, teamwork, and the ability to manage multiple cases in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or combination of education and experience equivalent to.
• Excellent writing and oral communication skills.
• Ability to organize, plan, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
• Trauma-informed, client-centered approach to housing assistance.
• Experience or knowledge of homeless services and Continuum of Care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and assess intake for individuals and families in housing crisis.
• Input data into HMIS and maintain accurate case files.
• Coordinate referrals to community resources and housing programs.
• Assist with housing applications and follow up on outcomes.
• Engage with clients using trauma-informed, strengths-based communication.
