Job summary

Frontier Behavioral Health seeks a dedicated Peer Support Specialist to join the Mobile Crisis & Recovery Team in Spokane. You will provide compassionate peer support during crisis events, assist clients in recovery planning, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to stabilize individuals in the community and in-home settings.

The role requires recovery experience, WA credentialing, and a valid driver’s license, with pay guidance and shift details outlined in the job description.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year in recovery from a mental health condition or substance use disorder.
• Certified Peer Support Specialist or Peer Support Specialist Trainee Credential from WA DOH, or must apply within 90 days of start date.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must have an unrestricted and valid driver’s license, ability to use personal vehicle for work.

Responsibilities

• Assist other professionals in developing treatment interventions and stabilizations for those in acute crisis.
• Provide ongoing peer support to clients, including children and youth, encouraging hope and participation in recovery.
• Identify services and activities that promote recovery and reduce stigma.
• Promote personal responsibility for recovery as defined by the client’s goals.
• Engage with individuals before discharge and assist families with transition to the community.
• Maintain client records and documentation in a timely and confidential manner.
