Job summary

Frontier Behavioral Health seeks a Certified Peer Support Specialist to deliver recovery‑oriented, peer‑led services across community and clinical settings. The role includes crisis outreach, client advocacy, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to promote stabilization and service linkage.

Travel to clients in the community is required. Applicants should have 1+ year in recovery and a valid WA credential or Trainee option, plus a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• Self-identify as having 1+ years in recovery from a mental health condition or substance use disorder.
• Certified Peer Support Specialist or Trainee credential from WA DOH, or apply for Trainee credential within 90 days of start date.
• Must have unrestricted driver's license and be willing to use personal vehicle.
• Two years' experience in community behavioral health preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist professionals in developing treatment interventions for acute crisis.
• Provide ongoing peer support to clients including children and youth.
• Identify services that promote recovery and reduce stigma.
• Promote personal responsibility for recovery within each client’s plan.
• Advocate and provide information and peer support in various settings.
• Collaborate in a multi-disciplinary team to support stabilization.
• Maintain communication with team and document client interactions.
