Job summary

Frontier Behavioral Health is seeking a certified peer support specialist to provide peer counseling and support within mental health services. You will assist clients, families, and community supports, promoting recovery, resilience, and self-advocacy.

Qualifications

• Self-identify as having one or more years in recovery from a mental health condition, substance use disorder or both.
• Certified Peer Support Specialist Credential from WA State Department of Health (or Trainee) must be obtained within 90 days of start date.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have unrestricted and valid driver’s license, valid motor vehicle screening, active insurance, and willingness to use personal vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide peer counseling and support to clients, parents, caregivers, and supports.
• Identify services to promote recovery and resilience and build hope.
• Mentor clients to build self-advocacy and navigate health systems.
