Job summary

The Bridge for Kids is seeking a passionate Part-Time Childcare Teacher to join our team. The Early Childhood Educator will provide trauma informed services to youth ages 6 weeks to 12 years who are survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and homelessness, using a hands-on, child-led approach to support development.

You will help implement long-term investigations to promote physical, cognitive, emotional, and social growth while maintaining CACFP compliance and safeguarding routines.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age per Childcare Licensing requirements.
• If applicable, bilingual Spanish/English required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations and people with mental disabilities.
• Ability to handle crisis situations with a plan of action without supervision.
• Ability to understand how environment affects children and provide appropriate attention.
• Demonstrated classroom control and positive discipline approaches.
• Experience in program management and team planning for consistency.

Responsibilities

• Provide trauma-informed services to youth ages 6 weeks to 12 years who are survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and homelessness.
• Use a hands-on, child-led approach to enhance development in classroom and outdoor settings.
• Develop and monitor long-term investigations to promote physical, cognitive, emotional and social growth.
• Complete required documentation daily to stay in compliance with licensing and program requirements.
