Job summary

Rose Brooks Center in Kansas City, MO is seeking a full-time Therapist to deliver domestic violence services to Shelter residents and community clients. The role includes individual and group therapy, assessments, advocacy and support planning, with supervision by the Director of Clinical Services.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree in a relevant field, is licensed or license-eligible, and can collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Experience providing therapy/counseling sessions, preferably in a domestic violence agency/residential setting.
• Master’s degree in counseling, psychology, marriage and family therapy, or social work.
• Clinical licensure or eligible (LCSW, LMFT, LPC).
• Able to collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Able to multi-task and prioritize; able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, database systems and other software.
• Valid driver’s license and proof of liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the delivery of domestic violence services to residents of Shelter and other Clinical Services clients.
• Provide individual assessments, individual and group therapy, advocacy and support planning services.
• Consult, educate and inform other professionals regarding domestic violence, trauma and mental health issues as needed.
