Job summary

Texas Panhandle Centers in Amarillo, TX is seeking a full-time Diversion Center Technician to engage with individuals experiencing mental health and substance use crises. You will work across weekdays, weeknights, and weekends, providing trauma-informed, person-centered care and supporting clients in crisis.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, maintain ethical communication, assist with transport and meals, and help maintain a safe environment while adhering to the agency's code

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Able to maintain composure in a crisis.
Willing to work with Law Enforcement and community partners.
Must have a valid Texas driver’s license and be insurable.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
One semester of college (12 credit hours) or ABLE score.

Responsibilities

Engage Diversion Center clients using trauma-informed, person-centered care.
Build rapid rapport with clients in crisis situations.
Transport, prepare meals, and maintain a safe, clean environment for Diversion Center clients.
Collaborate with Diversion Center staff to meet client needs.
Adhere to the TPC Code of Conduct and report concerns.
