SafeNest in Las Vegas is seeking a part-time Crisis Advocate to perform trauma-informed crisis intervention with domestic violence survivors in the field and via the Crisis Hotline. You will assess safety, provide immediate support, and connect victims with resources and safety planning.

When not in the field, you’ll back up hotline advocates by handling crisis outreach through phone and chat, process Emergency Protection Orders, and work with volunteers and staff while ensuring confidentiality.

Qualifikationen

• AA degree in related field with one year of social services experience
• Excellent written and oral communication with diverse audiences
• Knowledge of community resources and safety planning
• Ability to enter data into databases while providing crisis intervention
• Typing 25 WPM required
• Fluency in English and Spanish preferred

Aufgaben

• Perform trauma-based first responder crisis intervention with survivors in the field (e.g., hospitals with Las Vegas Metro Police Department)
• Provide safety planning, information, and referrals to victims
• Back up Crisis Hotline Advocates with trauma-informed crisis intervention by phone and chat/text
• Process Emergency Protection Orders over the phone
• Collaborate with volunteers and staff, maintain confidentiality and ethics
• Log calls accurately for data collection
• Assist with field responses and support to PS417 Volunteers
