Zusammenfassung

SafeHouse Denver, Inc. is seeking a Domestic Violence Advocate with crisis intervention skills to support survivors in our 24-hour Crisis & Information Line and in our emergency residential program.

You will provide emotional support, safety planning, intake, advocacy, and case management to adults and children, while maintaining accurate documentation and helping survivors access resources for safety and lasting positive change.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field or equivalent
• Master’s degree in social work or related field preferred
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Three years of experience in human services or related field
• Crisis intervention, case management, and advocacy experience
• Knowledge of domestic violence, trauma-informed services, and empowerment models
• Ability to support survivors in a diverse residential setting

Aufgaben

• Respond to callers who access SafeHouse Denver’s 24-hour Crisis & Information Line with emotional support and de-escalation
• Provide intake and orientate new residents to the emergency residential facility/program
• Deliver short-term individual advocacy, counseling, safety planning, and crisis intervention
• Conduct safety planning and connect residents with culturally appropriate resources
• Maintain accurate and timely charting and documentation
• Participate in program development and agency meetings to improve services
• Support residents day-to-day needs and ensure a safe, respectful environment
