Job summary

SafeNest seeks a compassionate Crisis Advocate to perform trauma-based first responder crisis intervention with survivors of domestic violence in the field, including coordination with Las Vegas Metro Police and PS417 volunteers. The role also supports hotline and chat/text crisis work, processes Emergency Protection Orders, and provides safety planning and referrals.

Qualifications

• AA degree or equivalent in human services, social work, victims' services, criminal justice or related field.
• Excellent written and oral communication with diverse audiences.
• Fluency in English; Spanish preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to change.
• Empathy, compassion and care for survivors of domestic violence.

Responsibilities

• Provide trauma-based crisis intervention in the field with survivors of domestic violence, including collaboration with Las Vegas Metro Police Department.
• Offer safety planning, information and resources to victims.
• Assist Crisis Hotline Advocates by providing trauma-informed crisis support via phone and chat/text.
• Process Emergency Protection Orders over the phone and maintain accurate case data.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to agency policies and procedures.

Education
