Job summary

Jewish Family Service of Metropolitan Detroit (Resiliency Center) in West Bloomfield, MI seeks a Communications and Outreach Coordinator to lead strategic communications, public awareness campaigns, and community outreach. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, marketing, journalism, health and human services, nonprofit management, social services, or a related field required.
• Minimum 3–5 years of professional experience in communications, public relations, community outreach, or marketing, preferably in nonprofit settings.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic communications and outreach plan to promote the Resiliency Center's programs, services, and resources.
• Design and distribute educational materials, newsletters, brochures, press releases, and digital content to raise awareness about trauma impact and available support.
• Serve as primary contact for day-to-day media inquiries and coordinate with leadership to maintain consistent messaging.
• Manage the Center's digital footprint: website and social media content updates.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute outreach events, workshops, and community gatherings to engage clients and the community.
