Jewish Family Service of Metropolitan Detroit (Resiliency Center) is seeking a Communications and Outreach Coordinator to lead strategic communications, public awareness campaigns, and community outreach. The role reports to the Resiliency Center Director and focuses on educating clients, survivors, and the broader community about available services and trauma-informed supports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, marketing, journalism, health and human services, nonprofit management, social services, or related field required.
• Minimum of three to five years of professional experience in communications, public relations, community outreach, or marketing, preferably in a nonprofit, social services, or public health setting.

Responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate, and execute a comprehensive strategic communications and outreach plan for the Resiliency Center.
• Design and distribute educational materials, newsletters, press releases, and digital content.
• Serve as primary contact for media inquiries and ensure consistent messaging with leadership.
• Manage the Center's digital footprint, including website and social media, with trauma-informed content.
