Job summary

Wings Program seeks a qualified social services professional to provide comprehensive case management, emotional support, advocacy, and coordination of services for children and parenting education. The role employs a strengths-based, trauma-informed approach and requires collaboration with schools and community partners.

Responsibilities include assessments, crisis intervention, weekly/bi-weekly family support, and development of service and safety plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or related field is required.
• 1 year of direct human services experience with children in diverse populations is required.
• 40-hour domestic violence training and CPR & First Aid training preferred.
• Fluent in English and Spanish; both written and spoken, preferred.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and strong communication/documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess children referred to the program for needs, strengths, and level of need; provide case management services.
• Provide crisis intervention and advocate for clients as needed.
• Offer individual/family group support weekly or bi-weekly to develop service and safety plans.
• Coordinate with schools, community organizations, and health providers to ensure services for children.
• Teach or assist in supervising DV training and CEU courses as required.
• Report child abuse to DCFS as mandated by law.
