Job summary

WINGS Program, Inc. in Chicago seeks a dedicated case manager to provide case management, emotional support, advocacy, and coordination of services to children, with parenting support and education using a strengths-based, trauma-informed approach.

You will assess needs, develop service and safety plans, collaborate with schools and health providers, and deliver parenting classes while maintaining confidential records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or related field.
• 1 year of direct human services experience with children in diverse populations.
• 40-hour domestic violence training and CPR & First Aid training preferred.
• ICDVP credential preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and documentation skills in English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess each child referred to the program for needs, strengths, and level of need.
• Provide encouragement and enrichment activities for children to improve psychological adjustment.
• Provide crisis intervention to parents and clients and advocate as needed.
• Conduct weekly or bi-weekly individual and/or family group sessions to develop service and safety plans and provide parent education.
• Collaborate with schools, community organizations, and health providers to ensure services for children.
• Teach and supervise DV training and CEU classes as required.
• Maintain confidentiality and accurate client records; submit reports on time.
