Job summary

State of Delaware is seeking a Training and Education Specialist II to support the Domestic Violence Coordinating Council and subcommittees. The role involves planning and delivering trainings, managing training requests, organizing webinars and in-person sessions, and assisting with conferences and outreach across statewide partners.

Flexibility to accommodate occasional evenings or weekend events is provided.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of trauma-informed approaches when working with domestic violence survivors.
• Experience as a subject matter expert in the dynamics of Domestic, Intimate Partner, or Sexual Violence.
• Experience delivering training or education sessions to groups or individuals.
• Ability to organize trainings, webinars, and conferences.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and deliver training and education courses, services, and activities such as classroom, virtual training, workshops, or group activities.
• Organizes and prepares materials and equipment such as exercises, handouts, manuals, laptops, audiovisual or specialized equipment.
• Researches and selects delivery methods and resources to promote learning using evidence-based practices.
• Coaches others and provides feedback to foster learning and improved performance.
• Collects and analyzes data to evaluate quality and identify needs and challenges.
• Prepares and maintains records and reports like schedules and rosters.
• Maintains content on social media and creates instructional materials.
