Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Western Territory is seeking a Full-Time, non-exempt Housing Support Specialist at the Owens Campus to provide trauma-informed care for residents and support Lied Bridge Unit housing. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field (or four years of case-management experience) and strong collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Sociology or related field or four years of case-management experience.
• Ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds and circumstances.
• Maintain confidentiality and work independently and in a team.
• Strong documentation and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of community resources, especially permanent housing options.

Responsibilities

• Provide trauma-informed care to residents related housing needs.
• Maintain resident files and conduct intake assessments.
• Coordinate meetings with program staff and residents.
• Perform unit inspections and prepare reports.
• Enter data into HMIS/CMIS and compile monthly statistics.
