Job summary

Acuity International seeks a Caregiver Supervisor to provide compassionate, trauma-informed care within government facilities, ensuring safety, dignity, and well-being for children and families. You will oversee caregiver teams, document activities, and coordinate with medical staff and interpreters to resolve needs efficiently.

The role requires bilingual English/Spanish abilities, a high school diploma, and the ability to pass background checks for government facilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
• Minimum of two years of progressively responsible experience in childcare, healthcare, social services, or related field.
• Experience or training in management of personnel and leadership.
• Bilingual English/Spanish abilities (oral and written).
• Knowledge of trauma-informed caregiving principles.
• Able to work compassionately with children and vulnerable populations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to stay calm and professional during emergencies and high-stress situations.
• Ability to work with diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day performance of Caregivers, including schedules and shift changes.
• Deliver attentive, respectful daily care prioritizing safety and dignity.
• Assist with activities of daily living and personal care as appropriate.
• Distribute supplies and maintain accountability for issued items.
• Monitor welfare and report medical concerns or signs of distress.
• Provide trauma-informed care and emotional support to children.
• Supervise assigned children and families during activities, meals, and sleep periods.
• Document caregiver activities and incidents in accordance with policies.
• Coordinate with government personnel, medical staff, interpreters, and other teams to ensure continuity of care.
