Job summary

Houston Area Women’s Center is seeking a Transitional Housing Case Manager to provide trauma-informed, empowering services to survivors of domestic and sexual violence in our Transitional Housing program. You will focus on case management, crisis intervention, and individualized support to help clients achieve safety, stability, and long‑term independence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social science field required.
• At least 1 year of experience in case management or related work with survivors.
• Knowledge of domestic/sexual violence resources and laws preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Valid Texas driver’s license; travel; ability to drive a van.

Responsibilities

• Provide trauma-informed case management to survivors.
• Assess client needs and develop individualized action plans.
• Connect clients to housing resources, employment, and community services.
• Document client progress accurately and timely per policy.
• Attend weekly Case Team Meetings and manage a caseload of 19–24 families.
• Ensure compliance with agency and grant standards.
