Houston Area Women's Center is seeking a Bilingual Residential Mentor to oversee the safety, welfare, and daily needs of women and children in the domestic violence shelter. You will mentor clients, provide peer counseling, and support in a communal living setting, with a focus on safety planning and crisis intervention.

The position is full-time, onsite in Houston, with 25% local travel and a schedule of Tuesday through Saturday, 6:30 a.m.

Competenze

• Associates Degree with 3 years in social services/case management or similar field.
• Bachelor's Degree with 1 year in social services/case management or similar field.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams).
• Fluent reading/writing/speaking English and Spanish.

Mansioni

• Mentor residents, provide crisis intervention and safety planning.
• Mediation between residents using non-violent conflict resolution techniques.
• Assign and monitor residents' personal responsibilities in the communal living environment.
• Conduct orientations, intakes, group meetings, and exit processes.
• Enforce residential policies to meet grantor/funding requirements.
• Attend case meetings and coordinate with other departments to address client needs.
• Create resident files and record services by deadlines.
