Job summary

The Home for Little Wanderers' Plymouth-based COVE School is seeking a Behavior Technician to support students with complex trauma and mental health challenges in their learning and behavior regulation. You will implement interventions from students’ IEPs and ICSPs, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, attend IEP meetings and case conferences, and contribute to trauma-informed programming.

Qualifications

• Higher education degree preferred; pursuing RBT or BCBA hours preferred.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care.
• Excellent cultural awareness and sensitivity.
• Computer literate, including Microsoft Office and Internet Explorer, with the ability to learn new software applications.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement school-wide or individual behavioral interventions.
• Participate in team meetings to support the implementation of behavior plans.
• Assist with reintegration plans for students returning from hospitalizations or suspensions.
• Provide trauma-informed programming.
• Utilize behavior plans that align with program goals and students’ needs.
• Perform assessments of new or struggling students.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team; attend IEP meetings and case conferences.
• Submit timely reports and documentation per quality standards.
• Attend trainings and may provide trainings to staff.
