Job summary

The Home for Little Wanderers, Inc. Plymouth-based COVE School is seeking a Behavior Technician to support students with trauma histories and mental health needs. You will help maximize class time by applying IEP/ICSP-based interventions and regulate behavior in classroom settings.

You will work with an interdisciplinary team, attend IEP meetings, and contribute to developing trauma-informed programming while ensuring timely documentation and reporting under supervision.

Qualifications

• Higher education degree preferred; pursuing RBT certification or BCBA field work hours preferred.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care.
• Excellent cultural awareness and sensitivity.
• Computer literate, including Microsoft Office and Internet Explorer, with the ability to learn new software applications.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement school-wide management strategies and/or individual behavioral interventions.
• Participate in team meetings providing support and management for the implementation of behavior plans.
• Provide input and support on follow-up and implementation of reintegration plans for students returning from hospitalization or suspensions.
• Utilize behavior plans aligned with program goals to fit students’ age and treatment needs.
• Perform assessment and evaluation of new students and those struggling to meet expectations.
