Job summary

Behavioral-Health-Allies Academy is seeking a motivated Behavior Interventionist to support students with developmental disabilities and behavioral challenges. Working under a Lead Clinician, you will implement individualized interventions, collect and analyze data, and provide direct support across academic and therapeutic settings.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent; education in psychology or related field preferred.
• Experience with function-based interventions, data collection, and behavioral assessments is expected.
• RBT-level training or certification is preferred or required.

Responsibilities

• Build authentic relationships with students through empathy and respect.
• Implement trauma-informed, evidence-based interventions to promote regulation and independence.
• Interpret behavior as communication and determine function before acting.
• Provide consistent positive reinforcement focusing on growth and self-efficacy.
• Support paraprofessionals in recognizing cues and applying compassionate responses.
• Establish predictable routines and safe environments.
• Model calm behavior during transitions and crises.
• Implement Behavior Intervention Plans with fidelity and train others on supports.
• Ensure data systems and reinforcement strategies are consistently used across settings.
• Maintain professionalism with students, families, and colleagues.
