Job summary

Alpha School seeks an Intervention Specialist-Assistant Teacher to support treatment and education programs for students with behavioral needs. You will assist in developing and implementing behavior and curricular programs, supervise class activities, and help transport students when required.

Role requires strong communication, confidentiality, and crisis-prevention skills, plus ability to work as part of a collaborative team within a school environment.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work, Criminal Justice or related human services preferred.
• Two years experience with behaviorally impaired students preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing behavior management and educational programs.
• Provide one-to-one support to students and monitor classroom activities.
• Assist with arrival, dismissal, lunch, and transportation duties.
• Input data onto computer and maintain time-out records.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow emergency and safety procedures.
