Qualifications

• Minimum of Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of two years of teaching, training, or related professional experience required.
• Demonstrated commitment to equity, inclusion, and student success.
• Experience with online learning platforms and instructional technology preferred.
• Ability to work one Thursday evening and one Saturday each month.
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work with Foster Youth populations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, student-centered instruction in topics and settings.
• Foster an inclusive, culturally responsive classroom environment.
• Utilize trauma-informed teaching strategies to support students.
• Collaborate with program staff to develop course materials, syllabi, and assessments.
• Evaluate student performance and provide timely feedback on tasks and projects.
• Maintain attendance, performance evaluation, and instructional records per college policies.
• Collaborate with Foster Youth Program staff to address student needs and refer to campus resources.
• Participate in program meetings, faculty development activities, and required college training.
• Support student retention and completion through regular communication.
• Remain current in subject matter and instructional best practices.
