Job summary

Easterseals MORC is hiring a Transporter to support transportation services for individuals served. This full-time, on-site position is based in Southfield, MI, with local travel across Michigan.

You will engage participants with empathy, coordinate transport, and ensure safety through vehicle inspections while supporting trauma-informed care. A High School diploma and a valid Michigan driver’s license are required.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivilent
• Vaild Michigan Drivers License

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Demonstrates ability to engage individuals in a welcoming, hopeful, empathetic manner regardless of disability or phase of recovery.
• Coordination of transportation services for individuals served.
• Travels extensively to various locations throughout Michigan in the provision of transportation services for individuals served.
• Performs vehicle inspections and ensuring appropriate maintenance of Easterseals vehicles within assigned program.
• Prepares vehicle inspection reports and reporting to supervision as required/needed.
• Transport interdepartmental mail to various locations throughout Easterseals.
• Performs all transportation services in accordance with applicable Easterseals Safety & Health policies and procedures.
• Demonstrates knowledge of principles of trauma informed care.
• Willingness to support and assist consumers with trauma related issues.
