Job summary

Easterseals Redwood is seeking a Driver/Transportation Specialist to transport individuals with disabilities to various programs and work sites. You will assist passengers in entering/exiting the van and perform daily vehicle checks, ensuring safety and reliability of transportation services.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license and good driving record, and candidates must be at least 21 years old.

• Valid driver’s license, automobile insurance, and a good driving record.
• Drivers must be 21 years or older per state regulation.

Responsibilities

• Transport individuals with disabilities to and from programs and work sites.
• Assist individuals with entering and exiting the van.
• Perform external maintenance check daily on the van and report maintenance needs.
• May learn additional van routes to cover absences and vacations.
• Maintain accurate attendance information for individuals served.

Position Summary

In this position you will be responsible for transporting individuals with disabilities to and from programs and work sites.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assisting individuals with entering and exiting van.
• Performs external maintenance check daily on van and reports to supervisor any needed maintenance.
• May be required to learn additional van routes in order to provide coverage during absences and vacations.
• Maintains accurate information on individuals served attendance.
• Observes and reports any information which might affect service to individuals served.

Required Education and Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license & automobile insurance & a good driving record
• Drivers are required to be 21 years or older per state regulation
